She is best known for water-colour paintings on silk fans, especially ‘Frivolers’ (1916) and ‘Garden of Dreams’ (1920), in the collection of the National Art Gallery of New South Wales, and ‘The Silver Moon’, in the National Gallery of South Australia.
The name was changed to Cherokee Courthouse in 1833. In 1834 it was changed to Canton (pronounced cant’n), after the Chinese city of Guangzhou, which was then known in English as Canton (pronounced ). The name was chosen because a group of citizens had dreams of making the Georgia town a center of the silk industry, which was concentrated in China at the time.
Cooper began operating an iron rolling mill in New York beginning in 1836, where he was the first to successfully use anthracite coal to puddle iron. Cooper later moved the mill to Trenton, New Jersey on the Delaware River to be closer to the sources of the raw materials the works needed.

The base was used to train Escort Groups in anti-submarine warfare. 911 ships passed through the base between 1940 and 1945. There is one secondary school on the island, Tobermory High School, which includes a Gaelic medium education unit, and several primary schools.
Blue Corn Music in 2013 re-released Forbert’s career-launching first two albums - the aptly titled Alive on Arrival, and its Gold Record follow-up Jackrabbit Slim. 2013 marks the 35th anniversary of the release of Alive on Arrival, and Forbert was to play that album in its entirety at a number of shows.
