By population, the municipality is the third largest in the state of Tamaulipas (behind Reynosa and Matamoros respectively). The Nuevo Laredo municipality is the northernmost in Tamaulipas, lying at the extreme northwestern tip of its narrow strip of land along the Río Grande.
The municipal government consists of a municipal president, one syndic, and eight representatives for the various communities. The municipality is located mostly in the Atlixco Valley, with a small portion in the Matamoros Valley, wedged between the Sierra Mixteca and the Popocatépetl volcano.
From 2012 Severn FM also linked up with Gloucester City AFC as part of its sports coverage to broadcast live match commentaries from the football clubs fixtures. In June 2014, The Spanish Show Extraños en la noche con Luis Cebrian is also broadcast (simulcast) on 22 FM stations throughout Spain.
Jay Santos. Jay Santos is a Colombian vocalist and singer of electro house dance music and reggaeton. He is signed to Spain’s Blanco y Negro Music record label. Santos rose to fame when he was featured in the European dance hit Noche de estrellas by Spanish DJ and producer Jose De Rico and Dominican singer Henry Mendez.
