In 1959 he was elected to the Knesset on the Mapai list. Although he lost his seat in the 1961 elections, he returned to the Knesset on 17 May 1963 as a replacement for the deceased Ami Assaf. He retained his seat in elections in 1965 and 1969 (by which time Mapai had formed the Alignment), before losing it in the 1973 elections.
In 2011, he relocated to Austin, TX, where he was signed by AMI Records, a small independent label that released Campesino Blues (nine studio tracks plus three live tracks recorded in Poland and Austin, TX) at the end of 2011.
The Cobarde II character spawned two different wrestlers working under the ring name El Cobarde, Jr., one the brother of El Cobarde (I and II) while the other was the son of El Cobarde II, another son wrestled under the names Hijo del Cobarde ( Son of El Cobarde ).
The two found themselves on opposites sides of a match at the Arena Coliseo 70th Anniversary Show on April 7, 2013 with Metálico teaming up with Hombre Bala, Jr. and Super Halcón, Jr. while El Hijo del Signo teamed up with Nosferatu and Taurus.
