On 1 May 1979, the Cosford site was opened at RAF Cosford, one of the RAF stations which had been used to store the museum’s collection of aircraft. On opening, the museum initially exhibited airframes which had been used for technical training at RAF Cosford.

When this series was confirmed by the BBC in September 2007, it was referred to as series 5, following on from series 4 in 2008. In August 2009 Doctor Who Magazine announced that this series was to be produced and marketed as Series One.

The final image of them narrows to a circle around their heads, reminiscent of the image one would see in a rifle scope. Producer Martin Schwartz approached Pogostin, an award-winning TV writer, to see if he was interested in adaptating a story for the screen.

The album had sold 1,130,000 copies in the US as of June 2015. In the United Kingdom, the album debuted at number sixteen and was certified gold in just four days. The album has so far shipped at least 600,000 copies and has been certified double platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) on October 15, 2010.

They managed to hold on, beating Scotland 15–16, thereby winning both the Triple Crown and the Calcutta Cup, as well as the Five Nations. It was England’s last international test on British soil before the First World War: of the 30 players in the match, 11 went on to be killed in it, including the Englishman Arthur James Dingle, who died the same day as Wallace.

In addition to these primary competitions, there are races for runners of various youth levels, as well as a popular, mass race for amateurs. The course follows a steep incline up a hill on a stepped dirt path, which then loops back on to downhill section.
