This version missed the UK charts but reached #12 in Australia. In 1997, Spice Girls covered the song for their movie Spice World (film). Gary Glitter originally made a cameo appearance in the movie, but his scene was deleted after he was arrested for child pornography.
Parkhurst apprentices. The Parkhurst apprentices were juveniles from a reformatory attached to Parkhurst Prison on the Isle of Wight, sentenced to transportation beyond the seas and transported to Australia and New Zealand between 1842 and 1852.
2007 Rugby World Cup – Africa qualification. In qualifying for the 2007 Rugby World Cup, there is one place available for African teams, and one place in the repechage. In the group rounds, there are three points awarded for a win, two for a draw, and one for a loss.
In 2009 the school won the national secondary rugby championship school for the second year in a row defeating St Bede’s College in the final 17-0 and went on to win the 2010 Sanix World Rugby Youth Invitational Tournament, beating Truro College 40-8.
Shortly after the end of the War of the Spanish Succession, Philip V of Spain issued the set of decrees known in Spanish as the Decretos de Nueva Planta and in Catalan as the Decrets de Nova Planta. This series of decrees abolished the separate laws of the territories that supported his rival to the throne, the Archduke Charles of Austria; this included all territories of the Crown of Aragon.
Nueva Ecija Patriots. The Nueva Ecija Patriots were a professional basketball team in the now-defunct from 1999 to 2001. 2002 PBA MVP Willie Miller was familiar for his initial years with the team when he played for the Patriots from 1999 to 2000.
