This occurred on June 15, 1948. Construction on the district’s new high school, Tecumseh, was begun in late 1950 and was completed in March 1952. The class of 1952, while not able to attend classes in the building, were privileged to hold Baccalaureate and Commencement exercises in the auditorium–gymnasium of the new complex in May of that year.
