Joris has published over 20 books and chapbooks of his own poetry, among these: He has also written and published many essays, introductions etc. gathered into two volumes with a third one projected for publication in 2015:
Jemmy’s adventures begin as a late adolescent when he kills someone working for the merchants in self-defense and is forced to flee Spiral Town. He winds up a distance down the road in a fishing community where he changes his name and appearance, and becomes a cook.
He was a well known piano teacher in the Washington metropolitan area for four decades and continued to teach until the year before his death when he relocated to the Pittsburgh area. In 1955 he married Enid Mitchell, reported to friends and relatives to be an English countess. They had no children.
Strathmore is underlain by Old Red Sandstone but this is largely obscured by glacial till, sands and gravels deposited during the ice age. Strathmore is fertile and has some of Scotland’s best arable farmland, producing soft fruits and cereals.

He won nine of the series’ thirteen races and became the GNCC champion in his debut year. He was crowned both AMA. Amateur Athlete of the Year and GNCC Rider of the Year, chosen by fellow competitors. In 2006, Salminen clinched his second GNCC title at the Yadkin Valley Stomp GNCC in Yadkinville, North Carolina.
