Another theory holds that a Seneca Indian lived there, either whose name meant buffalo, or who had the physical characteristics of a buffalo, and was translated as such by the English settlers. The stream where he lived became Buffalo’s Creek.

Henry Hodge. Sir Henry Egar Garfield Hodge, OBE (12 January 1944 – 18 June 2009) professionally styled The Hon Mr Justice Hodge, was an English solicitor and Judge of the High Court of England and Wales.
He helped decorate the Ducal Palace of Sassuolo. He painted an altarpiece for the Chiesa del Voto in Modena, depicting the Virgin Mary stopping the plague of 1630, which shows the town of Modena in low aerial view below the image of the Basilica of the Madonna della Ghiara.
Rosa Tavarez. Rosa Tavarez is a Dominican painter and engraver. Rosa Tavarez was born in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic on April 27, 1939. From 1971 to 1979, Rosa Tavarez studied printmaking at the Art Students League of New York.
His last partnership was with James Cioffi, after which he semi-retired in 1992. Kaptur designed several notable residences, including those for Steve McQueen and William Holden; municipal buildings – Fire Station #3 and #4 in Palm Springs; apartment buildings – the Caballeros complex; and numerous commercial hotels and office buildings.
