It first reached the Billboard magazine charts on November 17, 1956 and lasted 4 weeks on the chart. On the Disk Jockey chart, it peaked at #18; on the composite chart of the top 100 songs, it reached #41.
Reviewing the compilation for Allmusic, critic Jack Rabid gave it 3.5 stars out of 5, calling it as good a compilation of the state of U.S. punk rock (and its ska pals) in the late ‘90s as you’re going to see.
